Sharon Evans

Role: Co-opted Governor
Term of office end date: 16.06.19.
Committees: School Improvement, Pay Appeals
Responsibilities: Early Years Foundation Stage
Declaration of pecuniary interests: Governor at Neston High School
Pen Portrait: Little Sutton C. of E. Primary School has been part of my life for many years, with all my children attending the school until moving on to High School. I became a Parent Governor in 2008 as I wanted to be able to give a parent's voice. I completed my 4 year term in September, 2012, and was appointed as LA Governor to continue my role with the governing body team at Little Sutton. The role of Governor is demanding, but very rewarding. At present my role is mainly focused on teaching and learning within the school. I have seen our school grow into the excellent school it is today and I  am proud to be a Governor at Little Sutton.

Mr Pyatt - Teacher

Richard Pyatt

Role: Teaching Staff Governor
Term of office end date: 01.03.19.
Committee: School Improvement
Responsibilities: Early Years Foundation Stage, ICT
Declaration of pecuniary interests: None
Pen Portrait: I have worked at Little Sutton since 2011 where I completed my NQT year after graduating from the University of Chester. I have spent the majority of my career teaching Year 3 before moving to lead Little Sutton's Early Years Foundation Stage. I also have responsibilities for Computing and P. E. and these are two subjects I very much enjoy teaching. I wanted to join our governing body to gain a deeper understanding of the running of our school and to be part of making big decisions that affect the day-to-day running of the school. I want the children at our school to achieve the best they possibly can and leave Year 6 prepared for the next stage of their education, with lasting, happy memories of the years spent at Little Sutton C. of E. Primary School.
Miss Amanda Chambers - Parent Governor

Amanda Chambers

Role: Parent Governor
Term of office end date: 07.10.19.
Committee: School Improvement
Responsibilities: English, Website
Declaration of pecuniary interests: None
Pen Portrait: My background was in travel and tourism, but I traded in my suitcase to re-train in the field of holistic health and beauty, and I now operate my own bijou salon from home, helping people live healthier lives for longer. I've been really impressed with the tremendous amount of dedication this great team of teachers contribute to our children, both as part of the school's required curriculum and also outside the curriculum, so I was more than happy to volunteer my help and support where it might be needed.
As a Parent Governor I've discovered that the teaching position carries far more weight and responsibility than we as parents may be aware of and consequently any contribution we can make as parents, governors and members of the community - no matter how large or small - will always be appreciated by both the staff and pupils.
